New AV Technology Advice
From time to time, academic staff, departments and colleges are required to purchase or update existing equipment to better serve their teaching and research programmes.
Staff and departments should be aware Audio Visual Services has the responsibility to provide an advisory service to the university at large.
It is the responsibility of Audio Visual Services to oversee the provision, installation, use, co-ordination, development and maintenance of audio visual equipment on all UC property.
Therefore, before departments upgrade their audio visual equipment (computer equipment in particular), they are obliged to discuss their requirements with the Audio Visual team.
This is either to seek advice on audio visual equipment available, or to advise the unit of their intentions, so that the compatibility of proposed equipment with existing audio visual equipment can be verified.
Audio Visual Services is able to:

- Advise on the most effective equipment for your needs at the most advatageous cost
- Organise the purchase the equipment, on your behalf
- Organise and supervise its installation and commissioning
